Some of you may know that a couple of months ago, we had a building built in our backyard. This building is my new craft studio. With so much stuff, I have come to a stop on organizing it all. My problem is this, I really don’t want to buy anymore shelving that I have to place on the floor because I want all the floor space I can get. So I have been looking for ways to get shelving on the walls. So I went looking on the web for some ideas on how to do this.
Lynn over at Millers-Ink used this type of shelving that I have looked at doing. I like that it’s adjustable and how she made the bottom shelf large enough for a desk area.
Nest Of Posies hung this peg board in her craft room to hang supplies on. I love this idea and have already went to Home Depot and bought a large peg board that I can cut down and use. So this idea I am going to do. I am going to use one to hang all my spools of thread for my sewing and embroidery machine and thought about using another piece else where.
I also love this sweet idea she did by hanging these blue mason jars on this shelve that she hung. I could think of so many things they could store.
I have also thought about this counter/table area with the storage space underneath. I like that I could have certain areas on the table that could house my cameo and other machines that I use.
Now how to hang all my ribbon that I have, I found Tonya Staab. Her blog has a tutorial on how she made a ribbon rack.
Not only do I want to do this for my ribbon but I would also like to make one to hold my wrapping paper.
Sorry, I lost the name to give credit for this picture. If you know please let me know so I can give credit where credit is due.
Here is another shelving idea to use. Don’t you just love the the old sewing machine and other vintage items they use to decorate with? I also like how they used the bottom shelf to line the fabric up as if you were at a fabric store. I don’t know about you but I love looking at all my fabrics. When I enter into my studio, I love seeing all the color.
So there I have it. I have some decisions to make on how I am going to organize all my craft supplies. Do you have any great ideas that I could use? If so, please let me know.
On another note, I am using Windows Live Writer to write this post. I am hoping that I am doing it right and it post like it suppose to.
Hope everyone’s weekend is blessed,
Mel
